CLEVELAND, Ohio — There will be no parade in Cleveland this summer. Ah, but do not fret.

Even though the Cavs didn’t take the trophy, the Defend the Land Bar Crawl will celebrate three things near and dear to the hearts of Clevelanders…  The team, the city and, yes, partying.

The crawl – which starts at noon Saturday – features six downtown venues:

2nd High Social House, 2123 E 2nd St, Cleveland; 216-685-9464

Wilbert’s Food Music, 812 Huron Road; 216) 902-4663

Panini’s, 840 Huron Road; 216-522-1510

The Clevelander Bar Grill, 834 Huron Road; 216-771-3723

Wild Eagle Saloon, 921 Huron Road; 216-465-3225.

JACK Casino, 100 Public Square; 216-297-4777

“It’s a way for Cavs fans to come together and wear your Cavs gear and show your pride and get together at locally-owned establishments,” says Alexandra Maryanovsky, bar director at 2nd and High Social House. “A lot of time fans become sore losers when their team loses, but we’re not a city of sore losers and this is a chance to show that we’re proud of our team.”

The recently-opened 2nd and High – which boasts an innovative build-your-own highball concept, a vodka slushy list and a unique menu — is the “featured bar” in the crawl and will host the grand finale of the crawl.

“We’ll be open throughout, but we’re also doing the after party,” adds Maryanovsky. “The event is about “defending the land” when it comes to the team, but also local businesses.”

The $20 ticket gets you a ticket a wrist band good for drink and food deals at participating bars. Check-in begins at Wild Eagle at noon. The bash runs through 12:30 a.m. For more info, go to
