Star Wars 7 TV spot shows new Lupita Nyong’o voiceover footage

The latest TV spot for Star Wars: The Force Awakens has been unveiled and not only offers new footage from the film, but a voiceover from Lupita Nyong’o’s character.

Though we don’t see Maz Katana (a female space pirate) she says mystically, ‘I have lived long enough to see the same eyes in different people.

‘I see your eyes, I know your eyes.’

This could very well refer to the third generation of Star Wars heroes with Rey (Daisy Ridley) very much believed to be the daughter of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Princess Leia (Carrie Fisher).

Could Rey and Han have the same eyes? Judging by the shots of both Daisy’s and Harrison’s eyes in the spot, it’s more than likely.

It doesn’t just have to be taken in a literal sense in that these ‘eyes’ have been past on genetically, but maybe spiritually as both Finn (John Boyega) and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) – two new heroes – feature in the trailer too.

According to Vanity Fair, Maz is the owner of some type of castle, where smugglers and others hang around… a bit like Jabba the Hutt’s place maybe?

We got our first glimpse of her in one of the original teaser trailers. Check out the gif below to see her hand seemingly giving Rey a lightsaber. Luke’s?

Footage-wise, we see a lot more of Rey kicking ass.

She uses her staff to take on an unknown assailant in one shot, fires a blaster in another and seems to fly the flipping Millennium Falcon out through a forest.

Could she BE any more Han Solo’s daughter?
