Last year, he said: “I show up, watch the show, think of some funny things to say and then speak over people having sex with each other.

“I get to go to Majorca for six weeks and chill. I never thought my life would come to this but it has. It’s brilliant. I really enjoy it.”

He would start work at 2pm every day and watch an edited version of the show — which was almost always what audiences at home saw that evening.

The Scotsman spoke to The Sun Online last year about the “mad response” he’s received since he started narrating the show.

But he admitted he’s pleased narrating sex all year isn’t his only job – he’ll be seen at the Edinburgh Festival again this year and enjoys filming CBBC shows.

He added: “It’s good to have the mix of stand-up and kids TV – I couldn’t narrate sex every day.”

Earlier this year, Iain hinted that a transsexual contestant may be part of the new series – but the true line-up has now been revealed.

When is Love Island 2017 on ITV?

Love Island is on nightly (apart from Saturdays) at 9pm on ITV2.

Caroline Flack is back for round three presenting the dating reality show too.

What is Love Island all about?

Love Island sends a host of singletons looking for a good time over to a luxurious villa for a summer of passion.

Known for its hot and heavy sex scenes, the contestants are encouraged to pair up and convince the public they have found love.

In a twist at the end of the series, the winning couple are asked to either split the cash, or take the entire £50,000 pot home for themselves.

Talk about putting your love to the test!
